Manila to Tokyo: flying it nonstop to Haneda or Narita
Last checked
Flying it: nonstop options
- Philippine Airlines flies Manila–Tokyo nonstop to both airports in its winter timetable for Oct 25, 2026–Mar 27, 2027: Haneda twice a day (PR422, PR424) and Narita three times a day (PR430, PR428, PR432) [S1].
- Japan Airlines flies Manila–Haneda daily and Manila–Narita daily; its schedule page (as of June 18, 2026) covers flights through Oct 24, 2026, so winter times aren't confirmed; check with your airline [S2].
- ANA sells Manila–Tokyo on its own route page [S3]; the page doesn't show a schedule, so check with your airline.
- Cebu Pacific is reported to fly Manila–Narita (not confirmed on an official page; check with your airline).
Which airport or terminal
- Manila (NAIA): PAL's international flights use Terminal 1 after the 2026 reassignment [S4]. JAL, ANA and other foreign airlines may be in T3; check NNIC's list for your date [S5].
- Tokyo has two airports. Haneda (HND) is closer to central Tokyo; Narita (NRT) is farther out and closed overnight (midnight–06:00) with no airside overnight stay (see the Tokyo hub page).
Connection tips if you're continuing on
- Pick the Tokyo airport that matches your onward flight. Changing between Narita and Haneda is a full airport change: you enter Japan, collect bags and re-check. JAL's own minimum for that is 3 hours or more (see the Tokyo hub page).
- Onward to the US: see Los Angeles to Tokyo, San Francisco to Tokyo and Dallas/Fort Worth to Tokyo.
- Philippine passports: a same-day airside transfer works without a visa, but a terminal or airport change or an overnight connection may need a Japan visa (see the Tokyo hub page).
Passport notes
- US passports: visa-exempt in Japan for up to 90 days (see the Tokyo hub page).
- Philippine passports: a visa is needed to enter Japan; Japan discontinued transit visas from July 1, 2026 (see the Tokyo hub page).
