Manila to Taipei: flying it nonstop, and which Taoyuan terminal

Last checked

Flying it: nonstop options

  • Philippine Airlines flies Manila–Taipei (Taoyuan, TPE) nonstop twice a day (PR890 and PR894, both daily) plus seasonal PR896 in February, in its winter timetable for Oct 25, 2026–Mar 27, 2027 [S1].
  • EVA Air flies Taipei–Manila [S2].
  • China Airlines sells Manila–Taipei on its own route page [S3]; the page doesn't show a schedule, so check with your airline.
  • STARLUX and Cebu Pacific are reported to fly the route too (not confirmed on an official page; check with your airline).

Which airport or terminal

  • Manila (NAIA): PAL's international flights use Terminal 1 after the 2026 reassignment [S4]. Check NNIC's airline-by-terminal list for other airlines [S5].
  • Taipei (TPE) has two terminals linked by the free Skytrain. EVA Air is in T2. China Airlines flies its Asia routes from T1 and its Americas routes from T2. STARLUX flies its Americas routes from T2 and most other Asia routes from T1 (see the Taipei hub page).

Connection tips if you're continuing on

  • Onward to the US on EVA Air: both legs use T2, so you stay in one terminal.
  • On China Airlines or STARLUX: the Manila flight may arrive at T1 while the US flight leaves from T2. Take the Skytrain and go through transfer security (see the Taipei hub page).
  • US-bound options from Taipei: Los Angeles to Taipei · San Francisco to Taipei.
  • Long layover: Taiwan's free half-day tour runs for 7–24 hour layovers (see the Taipei hub page).

Passport notes

  • US passports: visa-exempt 90 days; file the online arrival card (TWAC) within 7 days before arrival (see the US passport cheat sheet).
  • Philippine passports: visa-exempt 14 days on a trial basis until July 31, 2027, with conditions (see the Taipei hub page).
