- EVA Air flies nonstop from Los Angeles (LAX) to Taoyuan (TPE), about 13 hours 30 minutes to 13 hours 55 minutes [S1].
- STARLUX operates Los Angeles–Taipei flights; American Airlines places its code on STARLUX-operated LAX–TPE flights from Sept 30, 2026 [S2][S3].
- China Airlines sells Los Angeles–Taipei on its own route page [S4] and checks in at LAX Terminal B [S5]. The page doesn't state frequency, so check with your airline.
Which airport or terminal
- At LAX: EVA Air, China Airlines and STARLUX all check in and depart at the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B) [S5][S6].
- At Taipei (TPE): EVA Air uses Terminal 2. China Airlines flies its Americas routes from T2, and STARLUX flies its Americas routes from T2 (see the Taipei hub page).
Connection tips if you're continuing on
- Onward to Manila: EVA Air (T2), China Airlines and STARLUX (Asia routes mostly from T1) and Philippine Airlines all fly Taipei–Manila (see Manila to Taipei). Staying on one airline keeps your bags checked through.
- T2 to T1 at Taoyuan: take the free Skytrain, check in at the transfer counter and go through security (see the Taipei hub page).
