Bangkok to Lahore: Thai Airways direct, or connect in Dubai?

Last checked

Flying it: nonstop options

  • Thai Airways sells Bangkok–Lahore, along with Bangkok–Islamabad and Bangkok–Karachi, on its Pakistan route page [S1]. The page doesn't show a schedule, so frequency and whether every flight is nonstop aren't confirmed; check with your airline.
  • We found no other airline's Bangkok–Lahore nonstop on an official page; check with your airline.

Connecting options (if Thai doesn't fit your dates)

ViaLegsNotes
Dubai (DXB)Emirates Bangkok–Dubai, 35 flights a week [S2]; Emirates Dubai–Lahore, 10 flights a week [S3]One airline, one terminal (Emirates, Terminal 3) [S3], but a long westward detour. See Dubai to Lahore.
Islamabad (ISB)Thai Bangkok–Islamabad [S1], then onward by road or domestic flight (not confirmed on an official page; check with your airline)Only if Lahore isn't running on your day. See Bangkok to Islamabad.

Which airport or terminal

  • Bangkok: Thai's international flights and Emirates use Suvarnabhumi (BKK) [S1][S2], not Don Mueang (DMK).
  • Lahore: Allama Iqbal International Airport (LHE) [S3].

Connection tips if you're continuing on

  • Coming from Manila: Philippine Airlines flies Manila–Bangkok (BKK) four times a day (see Manila to Bangkok). On separate tickets you'll enter Thailand, collect bags and check in again; allow several hours (our guidance, not an official rule).
  • Confirm operating days close to departure; Thai's Pakistan schedules have been disrupted before (see Bangkok to Islamabad).

Passport notes

  • Departing Thailand: US passports get 30 days visa-exempt in Thailand; the TDAC arrival card applies (see the US passport cheat sheet).
  • Pakistan entry: We haven't confirmed Pakistan's visa rules for US or Philippine passports yet. Check Pakistan's online visa system: https://visa.nadra.gov.pk.
