Bangkok to Delhi: flying it nonstop

Last checked

Flying it: nonstop options

  • Air India sells nonstop Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi, BKK)–Delhi flights, about 4 hours 20 minutes, with several flights a day (it says daily frequency varies) [S1].
  • Thai Airways sells Bangkok–Delhi on its own route page [S2]; the page doesn't show a schedule, so frequency isn't confirmed; check with your airline.
  • IndiGo and Thai AirAsia are reported to fly Bangkok–Delhi too, some from Don Mueang (DMK) (not confirmed on an official page; check with your airline).

Which airport or terminal

  • Bangkok: Air India's flights use Suvarnabhumi (BKK) [S1]. Low-cost flights may use Don Mueang (DMK); the two airports aren't connected airside, so check your ticket.
  • Delhi: Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). Which terminal your airline uses isn't covered here; check with your airline.

Connection tips if you're continuing on

  • Coming from Manila: Philippine Airlines flies Manila–Bangkok (BKK) four times a day (see Manila to Bangkok). On separate tickets you'll enter Thailand, collect bags and check in again; allow several hours (our guidance, not an official rule).
  • Onward within India: Air India's route page mentions inter-terminal shuttle services at Delhi [S1]; details aren't covered here; check with your airline.

Passport notes

  • Departing Thailand: US passports get 30 days visa-exempt in Thailand; the TDAC arrival card applies (see the US passport cheat sheet).
  • India entry: We haven't confirmed India's visa rules for US or Philippine passports yet. Check India's official visa portal: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in.
